As the days get shorter and the nights get colder, many people begin to suffer from the winter blues. Seasonal Affective Disorder Is a problem that affects millions of people throughout the world. Symptoms can include: Suicidal thoughts, depression and lack of energy. It also causes a craving for simple carbohydrates which leads to weight gain and other health problems.  A great way to help beat the winter blues is to add an authentic Kickboxing routine to your schedule.

Studies have shown that a way to get past the winter duldrums, is to exercise regularly and be aware of your diet. Watch your carbohydrate intake so you don’t add excess weight and get your heart and lungs pumping to increase those endorphins for that natural high.

To many people that suffer from this condition, the thought of exercise can create a problem. The reason that our kickboxing program is different is the fact that it is authentic kickboxing. When our members come in for class, it isn’t just exercise that they get. All members also receive an education in self-defense in every kickboxing class. Instead of thinking of it as exercise, members consider it an activity. This makes it much easier to stick with and train on a consistent basis.
