Many stars have come through Tiger Shulmann’s Mixed Martial Arts such as former Bellator champ Lyman Good, UFC’s Louis Gaudinot and Urijah Hall. These fighters have helped build the TSMMA name, but there is one young prospect who is quickly climbing up the regional rankings.

Undefeated featherweight, Shane Burgos (4-0) collected his fourth professional victory on Saturday by defeating Donald Ooton via a first round guillotine choke. The 23-year-old from Woodbury, N.Y. also earned his second victory under the Cage Fury Fighting Championship banner. Burgos has finish all four of his professional bouts before the final bell, three of them in the opening round.

Burgos went undefeated at (7-0) as an amateur with one no contest. During his amateur career, “Hurricane” earned two amateur titles with both Ring of Combat and Dead Serious.

Burgos took a step up in competition in his most recent fight with Ooton and after seeing how dominant Burgos was, one cannot help to think about how far he may be from a title shot. Burgos sealed up his fourth strait professional victory the same night a new CFFC featherweight champion was crowned. Levan Makshvili defeated Scott Heckman via fourth round TKO to win the 145 lbs. championship strap.

Burgos may have a few more fights before he gets his chance, but at the rate Burgos is improving, that does not look too far into the future. Burgos has earned four professional wins in less than a year.
