MMA: One-On-One with Bellator’s Lyman Good – Interview with Fox News Latino’s Bryan Llenas

The Life and Times of Lyman Good

Lyman Good hasn’t had an easy fight or an easy life for that matter..

The 26-year-old fighter took Bellator Fighting Championships by storm capturing the welterweight championship by winning their first tournament.

Then injuries took their toll and cost Good his title.

He lost to current champion Ben Askren while battling multiple injuries and while he doesn’t use that as an excuse he admits it effected his game plan.

Then he was upset in the second round of the next tournament he participated in losing to Rick Hawn by split decision. It’s been almost a year since Good had his last fight.

Good would like nothing more to win the next welterweight tournament and face Askren again to get his second title run.

Born and raised in Spanish Harlem in New York City, Good talks to Fox News Latino about his time growing up with a single mother, his love of fighting and his love of teaching at Tiger Schulman’s Martial Arts.

He also talks about his pride in his Puerto Rican culture.

Before he can even think about Askren or anybody else he has to concentrate on his next opponent.

Good’s next fight is against LeVon Maynard at Bellator 65 in Atlantic City, N.J.

Bonus: Watch Lyman Good show Bryan Llenas how to throw a punch.
