Discipline - Do you have it? PT 2
Maintaining a healthy diet is definitely a challenge, but I hear a lot of excuses on a regular basis about why people can’t keep a diet up:
“Oh. Where I work, there are no healthy places to eat and I only have an hour for lunch.”
“Healthy food is too expensive. I really can’t afford it right now.”
“After a long day of work, I really don’t feel like preparing something healthy. There’s a burger joint 2 blocks from my house. It’ll save me time.”
These excuses are just thoughts in your head that are holding you back. By first eliminating all of your excuses and reasons for not living a healthy lifestyle, you will be able to maximize your workout productivity and achieve all of your improvement goals!
While I cannot obviously run through every healthy food alternative available on the planet, there is one dish I can recommend that you can find within 5 minutes of your home or office.
… And it’s available at mostly any Chinese food restaurant.
Most people associate Chinese food with being greasy and full of fat, but there are some options available to you that are both affordable and healthy.
My recommendation is ordering steamed chicken and broccoli, a meal any traditional mom-and-pop Chinese restaurant would offer. Ordering it with brown sauce on the side adds taste to this tasty, hearty meal.
Top it off with the fact a large portion of steamed chicken and broccoli should cost around $10 and you have an inexpensive food option that can be eaten anywhere for lunch or dinner.
There are many healthy alternatives out there, even at your local fast-food restaurant, that will help you lose weight. From reducing your portions to trading in the French fries for a salad, you can make drastic improvements in your look with little to no effort.
