TUF 12 Finale

You may remember Tiger Schulmann fighter Nick Pace from his stint in the UFC or even back to his battle with current flyweight champ Demetrious Johnson under the WEC banner.

Not many can say they “invented” a choke of their very own. At the TUF 12 finale back in 2010, Pace won his UFC debut with a never before seen submission which is now dubbed the Pace choke, a new variation of the rarely seen Pillory choke. Now he is giving a new reason to remember his name.

The New York native will be showcasing his striking prowess at Glory 9, one of the most anticipated combat sports events to ever hit NYC. His opponent is Levan Makashvili, who recently won his pro MMA debut at Ring of Combat 44 this past April. Primarily a grappler (and a good one at that), Pace sees this fight as an opportunity to not just gauge his standup skills but take a running leap back into fighting.

Nick set some time aside at his Bay Ridge, Brooklyn headquarters before teaching some future TSMMA fighters to talk a bit about the upcoming challenge and his delve back into the fight game.
