7/01/15 – Elmwood Park, NJ

Sensei Jimmie Rivera, Head Instructor of Tiger Schulmann’s Gramercy location, has officially signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship Organization.  The Ultimate Fighting Championship Organization, (UFC), is recognized as the premiere Mixed Martial Arts Competition in the world and signing with them has been a goal of Sensei Rivera’s since he started his professional MMA career in 2008. Rivera’s distinguished MMA Career highlights include capturing bantamweight championship belts at King of the Cage, Ring of Combat, and most recently Cage Fury Fighting Championships. Undefeated in the bantamweight division, Jimmie Rivera sports an impressive 16 – 1 pro MMA record and is riding the momentum of a 15 fight winning streak, Rivera now has his sights set on his UFC debut on July 18th.

The SSE Hydro in Glasgow Scotland, plays host to the Ultimate Fight Night Event on July 18th, where Sensei Rivera debuts against 7 time UFC veteran Marcus Brimage. Brimage sports a 7-4 MMA record and is dropping weight classes from featherweight to bantamweight for his bout against Rivera. This is an intriguing bout as Rivera makes his long awaited UFC debut, putting his undefeated bantamweight record on the line while UFC veteran, Brimage, looks for a fresh start at a new weight class following mixed results at featherweight.

This bout is currently scheduled to air on fox sports 1 channel with an 1:00 pm start time.
