About The Regional League

Welcome to the inaugural season of the Tiger Schulmann’s Jiu-Jitsu League — a competitive team-based Jiu-Jitsu league designed to bring together students and instructors from across the organization in a dynamic, community-building competition.

Eight teams. One season. Every match is a battle. Step up, represent your school, and leave your mark on the first-ever Tiger Schulmann’s Jiu-Jitsu League. 

Season Overview:

  • Season Dates: September 14 – November 23, 2025
  • Format: Weekly Sunday practices and matches (2 hours each)
  • Finals: November 23rd, 2025
  • Price: $695-(whole season). Includes the rashguard, all practices and matches.

League format:

Practice Days:

  • Sept 14, Sept 21, Oct 5, Oct 19, Nov 2, Nov 16

Match Days:

  • Sept 28 – Match 1
  • Oct 12 – Match 2
  • Oct 26 – Match 3
  • Nov 9 – Semis & Consolations
  • Nov 23 – Finals
  • Each team competes in 3 regular season matches
  • Top 2 teams in each division advance to semifinals
  • Winners compete in the Finals on Nov 23
  • 3rd place match will also be held

Scoring:

Individual matches will bescored using COC Rules with a 6 minute time limit

  • Start from feet
  • Continuous time
  • No resets unless safety issue

 

Team scores will be:

  • 3 points – Decision (1-7 point differential)
  • 4 points – Major Decision (8-14 point differential) 
  • 5 points – Technical Stoppage ends the match (15 point differential) 
  • 6 points – Submission, Forfeit, Medical Forfeit, Missed Weight, Disqualification

Weight Classes:

15yrs & Under (Boys and Girls combined):

  • 75lbs, 85lbs, 100lbs, 120lbs, 140lbs, 160lbs

Women 16yrs & up:

  • 125lbs, 140lbs, 160lbs

Men 16yrs & up:

  • 130lbs, 145lbs, 160lbs, 175lbs, 190lbs, 205lbs, 206lbs+
