Being a Tiger Schulmann’s Instructor can provide you with many opportunities now and in the future. One of the best parts of being a Tiger Schulmann’s instructor is that it is highly rewarding and satisfying. Every day you get to do what you love and at the same time inspire and motivate others to make substantive changes in their lives.
The Road To Being An Instructor
Step 1: Qualify
Not everyone qualifies. At a bare minimum, you need to be physically fit, technically sound, confident, have GREAT communication skills, and possess a fun, upbeat, motivating personality.
Step 2: Commitment
Understand that you are making a commitment to your Sensei, the school, and yourself. The honor of teaching martial arts should not be taken for granted.
Step 3: Training
This program is a 20-hour course taught over 20 weeks Slowly, you will get more and more responsibility until they can teach an entire class.
Step 4: Certification
After completing the course, you must pass a written exam. You will then be honored with a certificate, proudly hung in the school.
Step 5: Teaching
Initially you will responsible for teaching personal training sessions and 2 to 3 group classes per week.

Instructors must be 18yrs. For Little Tigers / Tigers classes and 21 yrs. Old for Adult classes
A Level One instructor is a student that has acquired a minimum rank of High Blue Belt. Higher level instructors have higher belt requirements.
Being an instructor candidate that this is voluntary and there will be no negative feelings or treatment if they do not wish to participate.
The instructorship program is a 20-hour course taught over 20 weeks.
During the 20-week course, participants will teach segments of the class. Slowly, gaining more responsibility until they can teach an entire class. After completing the 20-week course, students should have the knowledge to teach a class.
Yes. The written test covers many of the basic principles of the Tiiger Schulmann’s Program.
Yes. Upon completion of the program instructor-level business cards with your name and title will be ordered.
No there is no cost for our certified instructor training program
This is a volunteer position with complimentary tuition provided as a thank you for sharing your new knowledge and skills.
Initially, yes. However, once you have completed the training and begun to regularly teach classes, complimentary tuition will be provided as a thank you for sharing your new knowledge and skills
