Michael Murray defeats Darren Mima at CFFC MMA EVENT

CFFC XV –  June 30, 2012, at Resorts Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ.

Michael Murray (TSMMA Paramus) vs. Darren Mima
Murray wins via tap due to armbar at 0:42 of round two.

Round 1 saw Murray and Mima trade strikes on their feet with Murray landing the the more technical and accurate punches. Murray was able secure an armbar near the end of round 1, but Mima successfully defended. Round 2 saw Murray strike with more confidence and landed a beautiful 2-3-2 combination, forcing Mima to look for a takedown. Once Mima landed the takedown, he soon found himself again in Murray’s brilliant armbar transition, and had no choice but to tap due to the submission hold. Mima protested that he didn’t tap, but both the Ref and the replay confirmed the tap.  Murray had a great deal of TSMMA support at the event and was coached and cornered by Sensei Paul Querido and TSMMA Boxing Coach Ray Velez.
