Congratulations to TSMMA Wrestling Coach Rusty Read on turning out his first High School State Champion, Ethan Ramos. Ramos wrestles for Hawthorne High School and was the school’s first state champion since TSMMA Wrestling Coach Rusty Read won the state championship for Hawthorne in 1994. Coach Read runs Renaissance Wrestling Academy out of Tiger Schulmann’s HQ in Elmwood Park, and is where he coached and mentored Ramos, molding the high-schooler into the champion he became. Ramos defeated Jadaen Bernstein of Voorhees 5-2 to win the 170-state championship this past Sunday – 3/10/13.
In addition to running Renaissance Wrestling Academy out of Tiger Schulmann’s HQ in Elmwood Park, Coach Read is the head Wrestling Coach for TSMMA Fight team. He trains both the Pro and Amateur fighters and is credited for the success they achieved in the cage including UFC and Bellator. He has trained TSMMA’s top Pro’s including Lyman Good, Uriah Hall, Jimmie Rivera, Nick Pace, Louis Gaudinot, and Munah Holland.
