No Results Until I Tried Kickboxing

My Journey with TSMMA started because a friend of mine had a “buddy pass” for a free month at TSMMA. I have tried going to the gym and getting a personal trainer and was on every diet known to man, but nothing worked. So I figured sure why not try this. I had no clue what TSMMA was about or what Mixed Martial Arts was. I got there the first day with a friend of mine and they told me to put my stuff in a locker including my shoes!! I thought “ehh this isn’t for me”; since I hate feet I couldn’t bare the thought of walking around without my shoes on. Joshu convinced me to stay!! Turns out I ended up LOVING it!!
The 90-day challenge was coming. I knew I should do it but the thought of taking my picture with just a bathing suit on horrified me so of course I wasn’t about to sign up! My instructor convinced me to do it! Turns out it was the best decision I have ever made!! In those 90 days they taught me how to eat better and more often. I lost 30 pounds in the 90 days and I kept up with my workouts and eating habits and lost another 20 pounds after the challenge ended. I couldn’t believe that this actually worked!! Not only did I hear success stories, I am one of them!! I have continued to keep up with my workouts and eating habits and I have lost another 10 pounds.
I owe a big thank you to everybody at TSMMA, if it wasn’t for them guiding me and giving me the courage to get on the mat without sneakers and to take that picture I wouldn’t be where I am today!
I am much more confidant with myself. When I go out shopping I actually feel good with what I put on and when I go out in my new clothes I feel good and not embarrassed!!
I encourage everybody to get over the fear of the picture and just do it! It will be the best decision you will ever make!!! And the workouts are FUN!!!
