I find myself being able to do far more both on and off the mat without exception.   I find myself looking forward to the work-out and more appropriately stated, NEEDING it.

Dear Sensei Campbell,

I wanted to take a few moments to pass on to you some reflections I’ve had.
You will recall it took a few months following my first meeting with you to bring our first child to you (and so exemplifies the truism ‘every relationship begins with distrust’).  Since then one by one my other two children followed suit, and the experience for them has been very positive.  I knew that TSMMA, and to the point, you, have been very good for my 3 children.

I was, however, initially taken by surprise when my wife was next on the mat as it seemed outside her wheelhouse.  I could easily wrap my head around the kids in succession, like mice led by the piper, but this seemed somehow different.  Knowing how much she enjoys exercise, my surprise waned and her time at TSMMA also earned my support.

I was, however, initially taken by surprise when my wife was next on the mat as it seemed outside her wheelhouse. Knowing how much she enjoys exercise, my surprise waned and her time at TSMMA also earned my support.

And you know I laughed. It was easier to simply laugh it off than to explain that I was really in one of those ‘I’m going to dig my heels in’ stubborn modes that my wife can detail for you far better than I can.  And there went up that distrust flag again, as well.

I find myself being able to do far more both on and off the mat without exception.   I find myself looking forward to the work-out and more appropriately stated, NEEDING it.

Better shape, stronger, better attitude.  So is it simply all coincidence? Today I’m a believer.  I get it!

Surprisingly I’ve had a few people at work come up to me this last week and tell me they enjoy working with me more as well.   Better shape, stronger, better attitude.  So is it simply all coincidence? Today I’m a believer.  I get it!

It once again reinforces my belief that one’s comfort zone is a very bad place to be.  It is slowly constricting and ultimately paralyzing, and I had been all too nicely settling in!

Thanks for the wake up!

Osu!
